The Use of PVC Fabric in Rolls

PVC fabrics, also known as vinyl fabric, are synthetic technical textiles designed for a broad range of demanding applications including sports clothing and equipment, space vehicles, fire protective clothing, automotive components and military and commercial tents. They are valued for their strength, flexibility and durability, water and chemical resistance, longevity and require less energy to produce than other types of industrial fabrics.

These heavy duty fabrics are woven from a strong polyester scrim and coated with a plastisol layer of PVC powder mixed with plasticizers and other additives to create the desired qualities and color. This process allows for a wide variety of colors and designs as well as a high degree of flexibility and resistance to weathering, chemicals, dirt and general abrasion.
PVC Fabric  are extremely heavy duty fabrics and are designed for high impact applications such as crash mats, gym props or sporting equipment and are ideal for all sorts of heavy duty outdoor covers. They feature a reinforcing polyester tear-stop base cloth incorporated into the PVC which makes them highly resistant to tearing and meet the Australian Tarpaulin Standard AS2755.2 for physical and fire retardant performance. They are also UV stabilised and come in a choice of eight colours – black, blue, red, green, yellow, dark grey or white.

Our PVC tarp fabrics allow for maximum transparency and light transmittance, and are an excellent choice for clear enclosures. They are completely waterproof, very strong and resilient, and resist oil, mildew, and abrasion. They are able to be plastic welded, sewn or cut as required.
